Good find UB

46-61 mph here...  and judging by the state of my garden I can well believe it :/

A very modest 9mph here.

That's outside however. Indoors there are occasional 65mph gusts. I knew I’d regret the spicy chicken wrap & refried beans I had for lunch.

It says eighteen mph for me, but I can only assume that they haven't looked out the window. It's a howler  :'(

According to the site we're now down to 33mph.

I went out this afty and the main road out of town was a real mess..  couple of trees blown down and at least half a dozen large branches at the side of the road in one particular section.

My poor garden that I worked so hard on earlier in the year is a right mess with plant pots blown over and even the sun lounger had obviously been doing the tumble weed thing to the end of the garden.  The budlea's seem to have had it before theyve even flowered, so dunno what effect that will have on the mass of butterflies I normally get in about a months time. :/

We had trees blown down around here too (South Lancashire).  A large horse chestnut on land next to our back garden split down the middle and fell down and many plane trees on the footpath behind our garden were badly damaged.  Council worker emergency teams were still out at 9pm cutting off falling branches and making the area safe!  Quieter this morning thank goodness!

It was a strong wind in norfolk yesterday but it was still sunny and hot, I hate it when I have to climb a pole or worse still up the side of a house in a wind. Funny enough been trying to get hold of a hoist this afternoon to sort a fault, they can be pretty bouncy in a strong wind, but I prefer that to a ladder. This may sound odd coming from me with what I do, but I'm scared of heights  :(
