Hi all,
So our house move has been put back. Again. Can't really work on 4G until the new completion date so have taken advantage of a Virgin Media rolling contract.
I don't pay the bill so have elected to have both the 402.75 down, 22.1 up business service and the 402.75 down, 37.5 up residential service run together for 4 weeks.
I'll be using some software to load balance the two, and will see how the capacity holds up to having over 800Mb, over 50% of the capacity downstream, and nearly 60Mb, about 55% of capacity upstream, consumed by one device.
At peak times this will break things, no question. There's no way there will be that much capacity sitting idle. Off-peak should be more interesting and may produce tests around the 760-770 down, 57 up mark.
We'll see. Will advise.
