Draytek 2760 and "Interface Group" ?
« on: June 21, 2019, 04:49:07 PM »

Hello, is there any Draytek user who knows if it's possible to create an "Interface Group" similarly you would do for a Zyxel device as described at the end of the Zyxel's guide ?

I'm using an Asus router with RMerlin firmware and my goal is to be able to connect the Asus router and the Draytek as described in that guide --> being able to access the modem Web UI...

Tia!

I believe Interface Groups is simply their name for VLANs.  If it supports VLANs, it should be possible.

Yes, the DrayTek supports VLANs but I can't find a way to segregate the WAN traffic from the LAN traffic...  :'(

Hi

I am sorry it is not clear to me which device your wanting to use as modem

I do not use 2760 but you can vlan and of needing to access between vlan, ie vlan 1 to vlan 2 there should be a tick box which enables this.

Also, the higher versions of draytek allow vlan grouping but I am not sure over 2760

Many thanks

John

Thanks John, I have a Vigor 2760n configured in bridge mode (and it works) - and I thought it would be easy to access the Vigor management GUI trying to configure it like the ZyXEL...  :'(

Thanks for the link, and I was also having a look at https://www.draytek.com/support/knowledge-base/5212 but the main problem is that my networking knowledge is pretty basic...

It's annoying that all the examples are with a Vigor 130 and a DrayTek router, why not also a generic router ?

Anyway, let's see what I am able to understand and I also hope DrayTek support will respond with a solution...

Thanks.

Quick update: being DrayTek support pretty useless, I was able to find the solution, that is I accessed the Asus router via SSH and typed the following command:
Code: [Select]
ifconfig `nvram get wan0_ifname`:0 192.168.1.2 netmask 255.255.255.0and now I can access the modem management GUI

No clue why I didn't need the iptables command...

And finally I have to figure out how to create a script in order to load that command in case of a router reboot...
