Vodafone Broadband down
« on: June 25, 2019, 07:33:19 AM »

Since about 3am this morning my internet has been down. I am synced with the DSLAM, and have been for the last 7 days.

This is what I get in my Router Log:

Would I be correct in assuming this is some sort of issue authenticating with Vodafone's network?
Their tech support opens at 8am, and I am convinced that they are going to say I need to plug their router back in even though I have been using my Archer VR2800 since the 10th of June (and the connection has been better than with their router).

Unfortunately the problem is getting through to someone who can deviate from the standard script of:
- Factory Reset
- Master Socket

All of which cause lots of re-syncs.....

It certainly looks like an issue at their end, but I too would fully expect them to ask for the Vodafone router to be reconnected as it's the only way they can be reasonably certain it's not a config issue with your router.
As for the master socket bit I just say that I've done that. ;)
One or two resyncs are highly unlikely to upset DLM so I wouldn't be too concerned on that front.

By the luck of the IVR gods I got through to the UK team.
They checked my DSL username and password and it was different from what they had issued previously...
Strange as it magically changed overnight..... and they don't know why.

Anyway, all resolved!  :)
