Thanks to Bowdon (and friend) for listing the method of enabling "studies" in Firefox, found that it was not enabled on my main, Win 10 desktop PC and add-ons had been disabled, however, on my backup, dual boot Win 10/Linux Mint PC and my Win 10 laptop PC Firefox "studies" was already enabled, all running the latest version of Firefox.

After enabling "studies" my add-ons were re-activated (un-blocked) within 15 minutes but had to be manually enabled again.

I gave up on Firefox ages ago so have not had the issue as I use Waterfox. HOWEVER today I find that a couple of my add-ons on Firefox for Android have been disabled, I only have 4 anyway on there. So I wonder if it is the same issue on Android as Windows? Sadly there is no reliable Waterfox for Android and I wont use Chrome.

happened for me also, there is a setting in about:config which will fix this albeit at a small risk to security.

xpinstall.signatures.required set to false

I downloaded the latest version from Mozilla which fixed it for me as the version on the android site was not the latest.

Version 66.0.4 on desktop & Android resolved the issue. Released on the 5th May, apparently.
