They're just estimates. They're based on data, of course. But outliers like this are almost certainly an error.

Any houses with an estimate of near 330 Mbps at 250m length will almost certainly leave those who reside in them disappointed if they order expecting that. 200m seems to be the general cutoff point for max speed. Depends on the gauge as well, but going on the standard gauge I think there is no chance.

I've checked locally, and properties at ~250m are looking at 200 Mbps downstream at best, give or take 20 Mbps, and from then onwards it's a bit of a decline.

but .... who care? I off with VM soon.  :P
You seem to care because you're still thinking about it and asking questions. ;)

Another pound a month seems to have been discounted from the price quoted during checkout.

max when done can post photo of live hub3 and label saying adslmax in front of it? thanks :)

This won't be a difficult thing to provide. More interesting will be if the VM connection is still there once the 14 day cooling-off period is done and the actual charges start to kick in.

Unfortunately when people lie and lie and lie it's really hard to trust what they say. Even more so when it's so inconsistent and fantastical.

A reminder, Max, you told us 2 pages ago that you're under contract with Plusnet until October and now you'll be apparently be cancelling next week. You've also supplied 3 different prices for your products. I'm not an expert in VM's billing systems but I'm reasonably confident that such an unusual discount would involve credits being applied to the account, not a simple discount code. VM offering Vivid 350 to some random for less than half the new-customer price for no apparent reason would be... strange.

Not to mention asking about FTTPod over on TBB, oh and the cancelled Vivid 350 the other week.

Max, you need to take a step back again.

Ronski not interesting in g.fast nor FTTPoD. Virgin Media 350/35 are a bargain so I took it.  ::)

Updated: PN just told me that I don't need to cancel FTTC cos my billing issues ongoing isn't fixed yet as it will be free service to use until the billing has resolved then can cancel it.

As a Plusnet customer it's pretty annoying paying £29 every month for a service I know they are giving for free to others, with no attempt to rectify it.
It can't be hard that to bill someone.

Is this even a thing or is the free service just another vivid dream?

Actually given Plusnets billing issues it wouldn't surprise me, and I'm sure I've seen someone else mention they haven't been billed for months.

So this is while a small number of people are still being billed for a service they no longer have.

When will it end?

Appears to be going off topic ref. Plusnet billing, apologies to moderatotor:

Yes, I have just this month joined the not so esclusive Plusnet "stuck bill" club, have had a new contract dates issue since last November, a year ahead of what it should be, in their many unsuccessful attempts to rectify this situation they have now managed to "stick" my billing issue, certainly not alone with this, check the PN forum.

I have cancel the order with ViVid 350/35 with phone line. I think I am going to bite the bullet and try G.Fast 211/29 with Zen Internet as I am going to order G.Fast next Monday via Zen Internet. This one will be new installation on 2nd new line. Keeping FTTC with PN until October.

I am not 100% confident sure of my area (Virgin Media congestion area) just spoken to next door neighbour of mine he only getting 187/22 on his 350/35 and his service been down three times this month. Not looking good.
