The problem is differentiating speed of the service and medium of delivery, ideally they need to be defined separately. BT's Ultrafast service in particular can be delivered either via G.Fast and copper or FTTP.

indeed and is a prime example of the problem.

Some will probably be fooled into thinking up to 330 g.fast is equal to up to 330 FTTP.  When the latter is a guaranteed access speed, and the other is dependent on line length and quality.

If ASA were to be strict on this I would expect 'significant amounts' of g.fast areas would be replanned as FTTP overnight.
