Rental of VPs?
« on: June 24, 2008, 05:36:08 PM »

Hello again to you all!  :)

Does anybody know if an ISP who services your ADSL through IPStream has to rent/lease/pay for the Virtual Pathways at the exchange and can rent more or fewer VPs if they wanted to?

Many thanks to anyone who can help!

Hi

IP Stream doesn't rent VPs at the exchange.. all the backhaul up to the ISP location is provided by BTw.  An IPStream ISP does however have to purchase Central Pipes which is capacity from where it comes off BT and to the ISP network... and where congestion may occur with IPStream ISPs

DataStream ISPs rent/purchase "VPs at the exchange" level.
