VM and microducting question.
« on: March 24, 2019, 03:50:57 PM »

I've seen a lot of these popping up on the roadworks site for a certain part of my town in the next 3 months.

Quote
Installation of narrow trench, microduct, toby boxes and subsequent installation of network cabling..

There is about 32 little phone icons.

Does microducting signal anything like installing fibre in to the network, or do they use the same technique with their regular cabling?

Update: I've just moved the map down and there is about 50+ more all saying similar things.

If you want to look at what I'm seeing look up Royton, Oldham on the roadworks map and set it to 3 months.

Virgin Media expanding. Unlikely to be FTTP if it's an existing coax area.

Carl might know.
