When I log in and run the
dumpmdm command on my ZyXEL VMG 1312-B10A (with our own Kitz member Johnson-supplied custom firmware) I get a huge ton of XML config file output. I can’t see it all and I want to
grep it.
I have been using various versions of
grep for over thirty years, so I’m familiar with the concept and with regexes. Just a bit.
The problem I have is that
dumpmdm is a command belonging to the Broadcom dedicated custom CLI
only - is that correct ?
And I wanted to use the ‘proper’ bash shell so that I can run
grep or umpteen other good things. But I can’t see how to mix the two. If I could, then I could pipe things or redirect the output to a file eg "
/tmp/my.txt" say
