Earlier today, via the overhead view camera, a fluffy white huddle of at least two hatchlings were seen --

I have a set of 6 fixed IP's From  Eclipse  isp.BT ADSL2(G992.3) line>HG612 as a Modem, Bridge, WAN Not Bound to LAN1 or 2 + Also have FTTP (G.984) No One isp Fixed IP >Dual WAN pfSense (Hardware Firewall and routing).> Two WAN's, Ethernet LAN, DMZ LAN, Zyxel GS1100-24 Switch.

Where is the male ? Does he also participate in feeding the younglings?

I read that some are monogamous, same partner for life. I also read that they mate in the air, is that really true?

I believe that both parents take turns in keeping the eggs warm and, once hatched, bringing food for & feeding the young.

As for the mating process, I do not know. I've certainly never witnessed any such activity.

I have seen it happen on the 'scrape' (nest) on one of the webcams once.
