Mobile operator Three UK has launched a new Mobile Broadband plan that bundles “unlimited data” with the very latest Huawei AICubeB900 router for just £25 per month, which adds Amazon’s Alexa (Echo) AI smart speaker technology alongside the functions of a mobile WiFi router that can handle 64 simultaneous users.

I think this is the first opening shot of 'proper' (as in integrated with home computing) at mobile broadband. I'd have liked to have seen the contract length of 24 months reduced to 12, but at £25 per month, and if you already get a good Three signal then this could be definately for you.

I'm not sure how suitable 4G is for gaming as far as ping. But for general use it seems good. Also the 50Mbps upload speed is very fast for any broadband connection, so it could be good for businesses, especially if you work on your laptop and move around alot.

As someone who recently went on the contract at £22/month I can say for sure its absolutely no good for gaming as there is way too much contention.

In my area Three can be anything from 2Mbit to 16Mbit upload with random ping spikes as high as 2000ms and a ton of packet loss.  Downloads can be anything from single digits up to 50Mbit.  I REALLY wouldn't want to be relying on this as my main connection.

Kinda annoying I missed out on the newer router but then I'm using the SIM in my S10 alongside my O2 PAYG SIM for calls, so I'd probably never use it anyway.
