All making the most of it?

My normally reliable thermometer, in the shade behind the garden shed, reported 19.7 C in the afternoon.  Coupled with the fact I was feeling nicely warmed up having just mowed the lawn (itself a first, for February), I indulged in a glass of beer in the garden, in shirt sleeves, whilst solving a Soduko puzzle.

Did I imagine it, or was were we discussing depth of snow just three weeks or so ago?

Hmm . . . I think we were! 

And a year ago, so I recall, there were many inches of dry, dusty, snow covering the country.

The weather has been lovely 
I did briefly venture out in the garden the other day in just a t-shirt, I wasn't really up to being able to take full advantage.
I am actually looking forward to summer, so it's nice to know that warmer weather is on its way - even though we are back to normal today.

Not just us humans that are enjoying it.   

In my garden, most of the things that bud seem to have started budding early.  A cherry tree in the village, that I can see from my window, has a fair display of blossom.  I’ve noticed a few insects too, out for an early bit of buzzing.    Even the birds’ dawn chorus this morning sounded like it has suddenly advanced a few weeks.

Or I could just be imagining it all, wishful thinking that it’s going to be a nice spring.   If so, I’m sticking with it.

Just come in from a walk and feel cold as it is only 9 c now.. back to winter.
