Yet Another Junk e-mail Message
« on: February 07, 2019, 11:55:05 PM »

I have just been shown another e-mail message. It seems that Nigeria has a lot of money to share!  :D

To:The Managing Director/Ceo,
Dear Sir,

I am obliged to inform you that we have abandoned over invoiced contract
payment ready to transfer abroad.
This fund originated from the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation
project executed by a foreign firm at the Port Harcourt Refinery and
Petrochemical Company.

Due to lack of supervision and laxity in the contract execution by the
appropriate department, the contractors absconded with the payment they
received and abandoned US$25.5Million in the offshore account of the
Central Bank of Nigeria domiciled in the Benin Republic since 10years
ago.If you are interested in this transaction. Please contact
me.(dr.umoru@X)

Your's Faithfully,
Dr John Brown Umoru.
Chairman,Contract Tender Board.

I have replaced the domain, aol.com, with an X, above.

Aren't you lucky  :D

I'm getting lots of the blackmail demanding bitcoin ones to various email addresses.   It's sad that if you look at the bitcoin account # you can see that some people are paying up :'(

I see a few of this kind of thing in my spam quarantine on my email server but the vast majority get binned without me ever seeing them and only the odd one or two spam emails a month get past the spam checker on the server and get into my inbox.

Just to clarify . . . Neither of the two messages were received by me. I was just shown copies of them.

For amusement, I decided to share them both.  :D
