Re-Name Chit Chat ?

Should the forum owner maybe consider re-naming this sub-forum to "The Weaver Cat Update Section", as that seems to be what its main use is these days?

Even in the technical forum areas, there seems to be a lot of cat oriented stuff.   

Specifically, a familly of cats with similar-sounding names crop up again and again, include “cat 5”, “5e”, “6” etc.

I've come back to this thread after just having seen that a thread by Weaver in the Security section has had to be locked. Let it be said that one of the comments was a bit below the belt.    I have no objections to Weaver posting photo's of his cats in this section if he wants.   I think most of us understand Weavers situation and if he wants to update us in the chat section then what harm does it do?

What I don't particularly like is snide comments in the main tech section.
 
If posts by a another user become annoying to you personally then you have several options
- Just ignore the posts.
- You can put the other member on ignore using the Ignore list from your member profile.
- You can ignore the chat threads completely by going to Profile > Modify Profile > Ignore Boards Options

As someone with 2 cats I quite enjoy the cat threads.

I occasionally post there but love this feature if it stops that section showing under "show unread posts since last visit".
