. . . I have taken the plunge, buying a vmg 8324 @£25, now in post. :fingers:

Thank you for clarifying.  :)

There are those who will be able to assist you with your new purchase (if necessary) but as I have no experience of a VMG8324-B10A, any suggestions that I make will be of a general nature.

If you look at the picture and at the seller description, it's actually a VMG1312-B10A  :baby:

This one for £20?

Looks like a VMG8324-B10A to me, or was the previous reference to a sale I now cant find  :-\

Funny how a chipset change has such an effect, v1 was lovely. Does factory reset reverse firmware updates?
Anyone know what VDSL routers have Broadcom innards? Is list in DSL stats config u.t.d

sadly bait and switch is too common in computer electronics, make a good first model, get the good PR etc. then cost cutting for the 2nd model.

The new toy should be here soon, but I think after coming on manny2003's 8 page thread, i am getting cold feet. Then I spotted this on password changing , and I am not confident, how it might apply to a s/h item.  :-\
Wish me luck!

Then I spotted this on password changing , . . .

That is a somewhat dated article and was written specifically for the ZyXEL ADSL-only CPE devices, their AMGnnnn series. It really isn't relevant, so please ignore it.

I shall second tubaman's statement and advice.  :)

When the device arrives, please start a new thread with an appropriate title . . .
