Hi Yes i previously had the hub one connected , and had similar results but i could not see the router log , and cannot set time schedules for sons phone and PS4 .
But i will use the Hub one for next few days see if it changes :)

The Asus can still do all that with a separate modem like a Huawei HG612 if you have 1 lying around.

It's a brilliant router, just the modem chipset is horrendous.

So what's the problem? Those stats report a DSL uptime of over 1 day, which is hardly the 3-4 drops per day you originally reported.

I'm pretty sure that the Hub One does have an event log, I'm not sure if it can do timed access controls per device, it might.

EJS , as the PN pinky cannot respond to ping i cannot show drops :( what happens is that on TBB graph shows a massive packet loss which stops all web traffic . its not a disconnect per say its a loss of service for a few seconds.
for a normal web use its not a problem but as i game it is :(

Just a thought but do you have anything that could saturate the upstream link?  When I was on adsl my cloud backup would saturate the upstream causing issues.

As a update , 2 days ago Plusnet reduced my SNR to 6 , and i started using my ASUS again .
Since then my speed has increased from 9 to 14 down  :) better than its ever been and line has become more stable

I hope that's to determine if it's the Asus modem that's the problem.

To be honest Ejs there has not been a lot of difference between the ASUS and the Pinky  :-[
so i dont believe its a router problem , Plusnet rang me yesterday to check how things were going as they see less drops than previously they think there is a problem on the line but as its intermittent they have to wait for BT to locate it  :fingers:
If you look at my TBB something happened at 03.20 while there was no use ?

It does, thanks, it's helpful to have some hard facts.   I think that the comment about noise margin being set to 16dB was probably a misunderstanding, not least because I don't think that's actually an option (subject to correction I understood the options to be 3-15dB in 3dB steps).   I wonder if the line was originally 3dB which certainly could cause stability issues and I've known Plusnet sometimes use that setting (for example our own line was set to 3dB when Plusnet first took it over).

The figures you posted would be consistent with a circuit set to 6dB but which had re-trained during the night when SNR is worse.

That looks like a change in interleaving being applied, see the step change in base latency.

@aesmith

There have been instances where these Asus modems can't even manage to connect at all on ADSL2+ when the target SNRM is 3dB.
