An eBay search term of Dantech PSU ("12 volt","12v") , ("4 x 1", "8 x 1") seems to do the job. Surfaced a vendor who seems to be in the security industry with two "buy it now / best offer" DA396 (1 x 4) sales, and currently (after I've bought a couple to play with) there are a pair of scratched ones for 21.90 and 8 good condition ones for 14.90 apiece. The seller does have a bit of negative feedback.

Leaflets and data sheets for this range at

Yuasa NP7-12, 12V 7Ah Lead Acid Battery NP7-12 seem to be from 15 to 20 pounds. I've bought a couple for 33 including shipping at

I hope the wiring of the battery is obvious.

Yes, after a brief look, I believe either the DA391 or the DA448 would be suitable.

I presume you have already performed the calculation for the VA load versus time, etc, for BBU purposes.
