Line changes
« on: November 05, 2018, 05:41:48 PM »

Sorry I’m not sure if this is the right place.

I have 2 services both out of contract. I want to end up with one FTTC and home landline. Ideally I want that with Zen.

Currently I have:-
Home phone + ADSL with Plusnet
Old work phone + FTTC with Zen.

Advice appreciated who to achieve this safety and efficiently.

Probably obvious to some, but for clarity I suppose you want a single line (Zen FTTC) where you port your existing home phone number from Plusnet to Zen thus replacing the work phone number?

I will be honest that I am not sure how one would go about porting a number from one service (which will of course cease the line) to another line which already has a CLI since it is not a conventional migration. I am aware that some providers offering renumbering (which may incur a fee) but I do not believe this is covered.

Someone here will almost certainly know. Though you could also contact Zen to see what they say about it.

Cancel the Plusnet ADSL and then do the equivalent of a house move of the Zen FTTC? to the home phone line?

That was my first thought, but I had in my mind a full new service with asociated costs. I hadn’t thought of the house move option. I’ve contacted Zen and awaiting a response.

Contact Zen sales and explain the situation and see if they offer any easier solutions.

I'd cancel the work/Zen line completely, and migrate the home/Plusnet line to Zen with a SIM provide FTTC.

The Plusnet/ADSL line will convert to Zen FTTC 10 working days after placing the order, with little to no downtime.

You could arrange the ceasing of the work line separately, to end on a date of ur choice.
