Merging two Facebook Groups
« on: September 11, 2019, 08:11:43 PM »

Hi,
I am a member of an Over 55 club for us recycled teenagers and take photos during party events or visits, I set up a Facebook page to let members see the pics, at the very same time another lady member did exactly the same thing, same idea, same name, we would now like to merge the two to save confusion, is this possible?  We have both tried do do it following directions on FB but both failed.

If they cannot be merged can anyone suggest an alternative solution please?  We are both rather superannuated so a simple as possible solution please.

Regards.

If Facebook staff cannot do this technologically, then how about getting one group to migrate into the other? Ask for invitations to be sent out?

One oddity I have found with Facebook is that the environment varies depending on the device you are using. It is different using the apps on mobile/tablet to using a PC browser. Have you tried the merge instructions using a different device?

Good morning again, I think migrating may be the best solution, we don't want to spend a lot of time on this so I'll suggest that at the next meeting.

Many thanks,

Peter (And Rosemary who runs the other group.)
