Errors since NTE5 filteredfaceplate fitted
« on: June 08, 2008, 09:25:38 PM »

Might be of interest the effect I've seen on my ST 585 v6 errors reported since fitting a filtered faceplate.

Good quality filter uptime 8 days
Error Seconds (Local/Remote):   562 / 0
FEC Errors (Up/Down):   530 /706574
CRC Errors (Up/Down):   10 /5195
HEC Errors (Up/Down):   4 /4871

Filtered faceplate uptime 6 days
Error Seconds (Local/Remote):   309 / 0
FEC Errors (Up/Down):   762 / 206253
CRC Errors (Up/Down):   0 / 624
HEC Errors (Up/Down):   0 / 486

Son playing GTA4 online via xbox almost non-stop during the filtered faceplate sessions but I'm assuming things have improved?

Yes, the error rates are lower with the filtered faceplate. That's probably because you no longer have interference introduced from pickup by the extension wiring, particularly the ring wire.
