Sky upgrade to Fibre Unlimited Plus, no better speed wise
« on: September 18, 2018, 09:43:19 AM »

Hello, so yesterday I upgraded my Dad to Sky Fibre Unlimited Plus, as they offered him a £10.99 discount to upgrade.

We know from his line stats, that his line is capable of 52,000 so we thought, why not - we'd upgrade and get the extra 12Mb, and then get the £10.99, so it's £11.51 now.

Upgrade has gone through, his line rate is shown in stats at 52,000, however, all speedtests are 40Mb dead, no change whatsoever.

I have contacted Sky and they are adamant that, if my line was capable it would be going faster, and that the minimum speed guarantee was 35 and there's nothing wrong...

Stats are below, and they look fine to me, but no change in speed. Yes, we've tried ethernet cable and wireless...

Well something must have occurred with Sky network. Have seen it first hand now actually running at 52Mb! Weird.
