New Consumer Protection Rules
« on: September 26, 2018, 07:17:50 AM »

Just been reading this , will it make ISP,s change ? https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2018/09/new-consumer-protection-rules-for-uk-phone-and-broadband-isps.html
Communications providers must introduce policies for identifying vulnerable customers – such as people with learning or communication difficulties or those suffering physical or mental illness or bereavement – to ensure they are treated fairly. For example, broadband providers must now offer disabled users access to priority fault repair, third party bill management and accessible bills.

As a disabled person its about time ISP,s realize people like me rely on our service

Interesting. I've lost count of the number of times I've seen posts on the Plusnet forums where people have issues trying to deal with relative's accounts where the account holder is unable to deal with issues themselves.

I would like to know more about the idea of support for disabled users and I hope my ISP might start taking that seriously.

Strongly agree with rongtw
