At my grandparents there had been some issues with the FTTC here for a long time, the stability issues has now been fixed, but i'd quite like to figure out what's happened with the stats, as something doesn't seem quite right.
I have screenshots of stats from various different times which i'll detail here.
Feb 2018 - We were on a 40/10 package from Fleur Telecom (rural Talk Talk customer)
It connected at 39998/7200kbps with a SNR of 6dB for downstream and upstream. This was using a Draytek Vigor 130.
There were very frequent disconnections, and the sync speed would sometimes be as low as 20mb. By April this seemed to be mostly fixed after various cables outside were replaced.
May 2018 - We changed to BT's 52mb package. I was using the Smart Hub initially. Line stats were as follows:
Data Rate: 8252/41.29mbps
Maximum Data Rate: 8252/50220
Noise Margin: 5.6/6.3
Attenuation: 24db
After about a week, the stats improved.
Data Rate: 7.97/54.88mbps
Maximum Data Rate: 7975/56867
Noise Margin: 6.1/4.7
Attenuation: 24.1db
Shortly after, I went back to using the Draytek router with an unlocked HG612 3B, I logged everything using DSL stats running on a Raspberry Pi.
This was on the day the new modem was used:

The only difference I can see, is the INP value is slight lower, and G.INP is enabled on the upstream too.

From looking at all of this I can't actually work out an explanation to why the line is syncing at over 10mb slower, using the Smart Hub gives exactly the same results. Any help would be really appreciated.
