OldJim RIP
« on: September 04, 2018, 09:08:37 PM »

It is with sadness that I share news I unfortunately only found out today, that OldJim passed away a few months ago.

I knew Jim was undergoing treatment for cancer last time we spoke, so I just assumed that was the reason for his lack of posts of late.   I've 'known' OJ for many years dating back to the Plusnet UserGroup days in Sheffield and a past moderator on the Plusnet forum.   He was a lovely man who had time for anyone and a forum reg here for ~10years.

Condolences to all his friends & family.

Thank you for passing on the sad news.  :(  I can certainly remember some of OJ's more recent posts.

Thanks Jelv, so looking at his "last active time" from his forum stats, then he was around the broadband forums until near the end, which in a way as he continued to do what he loved and be able to help people.

It is quite sad in another way as I've just looked at our last PM and I asked how he was doing and he simply said "not too good which is why I am taking a much less active role"...   but then in true OJ style went on to cracking jokes and ribbing me about something happening on the forum.
