When MDWS was operational there were very few contributors who identified themselves as coming from Wales, and I suspect the number of first-language Welsh speakers much smaller still.
Sadly, although I was born and raised in Wales, I didn't know anyone whose mother tonge was Cymraeg until I was in my 50's, so I am of little help to you.
