One of my toys is a remote digital thermometer, sensor mounted in a permanently shaded spot in the garden.

Last week, we had low 30s, don’t remember the exact numbers.  Right now, near mid-day in August, it is displaying 13.4C.

It's cold and wet here. I wish it was warmer.

I was, came out this morning in shorts and t shirt to go to work and it was 12.5C

The last two days of steady rain was well appreciated by the growing greenness, which gladly sucked it up. The River Lark is still just a trickle . . .

Now, early evening, the external temperature is 15C and is 22C internally.
