I wonder if this is the reason why sometimes when one of my lines re-sync that my FireBrick goes a bit haywire with PPP connect/disconnect between both of my lines (sometimes ending up with one of them being blacklisted temporarily due to too many PPP connect/disconnect cycles in a short timeframe).

Take a look at the articles on the AA website about patterns of symptoms, re the ZyXEL VMG 1312B-10A. This is of course nothing to do with the Firebrick.

I would talk to AA about the modem issue and ask them what they know.

Yeah but what I meant was whether the DrayTek's have a similar bug too as they are in bridge mode, I wasn't blaming the FireBrick, but nevermind.

No, I didn't assume that you thought the firebrick was involved. I would suspect that the Draytek might be immune.
