« on: June 28, 2018, 06:37:21 PM »

after 2 days trying to figure how to get access to the router's shell I've managed and got into the shell after all I was in shock afteri issued this command: xdslcmd --help and got this

Code: [Select]
$ xdslcmd --help

The router is a new one, called Huawei HG630 V2 Ver.B, it supports all kinds of VDSL profiles from 8a to 30a it seems decent cause at factory settings I get 100Mbps compared to the ZTE ZXHN H168N V3.1 which syncs at 80Mbps.

Is there something I can do you upload the proper driver to the router, I know it might end up being bricked but no worries I have the stock firmware which came with it and the SPI programmer

This router supposed to be a Broadcom chip but it reads:

Code: [Select]
$ cat /proc/cpuinfo
Processor    : ARMv7 Processor rev 1 (v7l)
processor    : 0
BogoMIPS    : 1497.49

CPU part    : 0xc09
CPU revision    : 1

Hardware    : sd56xx

$
Is this normal?

I'd guess it's actually a Triductor chipset, with a copycat xdslcmd. Any hints of the manufacturer in the dmesg output?

there is no dmesg exec in the bin folders though so it returns command not found

what about:
Code: [Select]
cat /proc/kmsg
also xdslcmd info --vendor might show the near end vendor code.

Edit: internal photos, if these are from the same model: https://fccid.io/QISHG630V2/Internal-Photos/Internal-Photos-2338360

what about:
Code: [Select]
cat /proc/kmsg
also xdslcmd info --vendor might show the near end vendor code.

Edit: internal photos, if these are from the same model: https://fccid.io/QISHG630V2/Internal-Photos/Internal-Photos-2338360

yep it's the same model, How did you find it? I've uploaded mine too in other thread

well it seems there is no help with it, I bought this one and thought it is broadcom one.

I just did a Google search for "Huawei HG630 V2 Ver.B" and the fccid.io page was the 4th result. There are usually internal photos with an FCC submission.

so what do you suggest? wait for better firmwares or what? I guess I'll ditch this one for the other line and continue using the ZTE ZXHN H168N V3.1 but on this one I don't know much about his commands except those  it's a media tek chip though

Code: [Select]
wan dmt2 set snrmoffset xx xx (snr tweak)
wan dmt2 set path x (0-2 channel profile fast interleaved)
wan adsl reset

wan vdsl2 set target_snrm xx (snr tweak vdsl2)
wan vdsl2 set max_ds_rate xx (something about data rate)
wan vdsl2 set manual_pms on/off (something about channel profile)
wan vdsl2 set inpdelay_pms xx (same ^)
wan vdsl2 set tcm_tx on/off (idk)
wan vdsl2 set tcm_rx on/off (idk)

What is the goal, to enable fastpath? It's normally possible, although I think the mediatek one might be able to, although I don't know how. It would probably be related to manually overriding the minimum INP and maximum delay values.

With the stats showing it's connected at 18/1, with the max attainable very much higher at 98/10, I assume there's no need to tweak anything, and it's limited by the ISP.

I was able to reach 240/40 Mbps on the ZTE

It's using profile 17a.
You need to force profile 30a to get the higher speeds.

It's using profile 17a.
You need to force profile 30a to get the higher speeds.

The 30a profile is disabled in DSLAM by the ISP
