Juniper PTX5000 switch
« on: June 12, 2018, 09:47:22 AM »

How much is one of these boxes?

Is there any place where one can find prices for this kind of crazy crazy kit? People seem to be a bit coy about numbers associated with some kinds of expensive hardware and software. I saw a price of $1.2 million  :o  for some software of some sort on an american website. I never even knew that such numbers existed.  :'(

I think you need to catch the eye of Ignitionnet, as he is a source of knowledge on all things Juniper.

I seem to recall that B4RN purchased some new Juniper kit a year or two ago when they were rearranging their diverse feeds to the "Internet". So perhaps Walter will be able to provide you with idea of the number of trailing zeros!  :o

I saw a website with a whole load of fairly incomprehensible part codes and one Juniper related item was priced at around $100k [!] but that $1.2 million for some software license - just wow
