I guess the first thing to understand is how are you connected? Does the hub go straight into the master socket, and do you have any extensions running off of it etc.? It sounds like DLM has impacted your line, but we need to work out why.

I'd be surprised if you reach the dizzy heights of 75 again with your attenuation (not before G.fast anyway). But I reckon you should at least be achieving low 60's.
#edit# - Actually I've just looked back on a previous post and noticed previous stats you posted a few years ago showed a 12db attenuation. Are you still at the same location?

Have you also performed a quiet line test? I.e. plug a corded phone into the test socket, which is behind the face plate on the master socket, and listen out for any noise. It should be absolutely silent, so any pops, crackles, hisses etc would be classified as a line fault and you'd need to raise that with BT as a line fault (don't mention broadband at that point)

You have listed a high ping and an almost 50% reduction in speed as symptoms of an unknown. (I need to ask for clarification: Is it a reduction in synchronisation speed or throughput speed that you are reporting?)

The way I would try to analyse the situation is to list what has changed since this time last year. In no particular order --
  • A significant uptake in usage of the G.993.2 product by you neighbours? (Especially if you were one of the first to take the service.)
  • Openreach have been modifying/expanding the local access network?
  • Any new premises built?
  • Is the wiring in your domain the best it can be?
  • Have you tested for any potential external faults in the D-side of your circuit? (As sotonsam has asked.)
  • Have you (temporarily) tried using a different modem/router?
Plus all that I have failed to mention. Etc.

Has your own equipment been moved, or any mains cable been placed right next to it or to the phone cable coming from the wallsocket to the modem? Do you have any new electrical equipment in the house that could generate heavy interference (through the mains particularly)?

Could try a mains filter unit? Should try other things first though.
