The Samknows site is a good resource. But does it actually update these days?

I still see people talk about samknows white boxes, so it seems to be active in some degree.

I'm asking because I noticed OR's accepting orders .pdf file as updated on the 17/5/2018 and now reflects the update to my exchange. Previously it only listed FTTC, now it lists FTTC/P & FOD.

I was wondering if this would eventually be reflected on the Samknows site?

No, the broadband availability stuff isn't updated with any regularity, if at all.

With all the other resources available what's on there doesn't matter anymore. The performance panel is their business and pays their salaries.

I gave up using http://samdoesntknow.com a while ago because of the lack of updates.

Yes, the SamKnows White Box is still in use and supported, is useful for longer term line monitoring should other provisions fail (DSLStats or MDWS when it was active) also gives an additional 4 port LAN switch for free although only 100 Mb ports in my case, a TP-Link device.
Still get monthly line reports from SK.
Don't use the site for anything else so can't comment on current accuracy or otherwise.

The local An t-Ąth Leathann NSBFD exchange is an example, as SamKnows still thinks it the exchange is 20CN, so their data is now 2.5 years out of date. I believe there might even be possibly some FTTC close to the NSBFD exchange now. I don't know because I never leave the house. Mrs Weaver has seen green cabs but they might not necessarily be to do with FTTC.

I thought that was the case but wasnt sure if it was just my exchanges information that hadnt been updated lol

Have you had a look at the telecom-tariff codelook up site? It seems to be quite up to date with cabinet information. Kitz made a how-to page on cabinet lookup and the telecom tariff instructions at near the bottom of the page. I usually end up having to refer to Kitz page to remember what and where to click

That was a good tip from Kitz, it is excellent that site, keep forgetting about it.
