New Home With Native FTTP
« on: April 16, 2018, 07:02:14 PM »

I am happy with good news moving to new house in next month as I already signed up FTTP to move there away from Cuckoo Oak, as there is full fibre in this area FTTP 330/50 say BT Wholesale Checker. So, I don't have to worry about DLM on FTTC or G.Fast and FTTPoD. :)

That's excellent news Max, looks much better than the estate you're currently on, I think the planners were having a bad day when they approved that.

Thanks. Will take photo's soon once I move in. And show u on the day when Openreach installing FTTP. As the new house don't have any telephone socket. (don't need it anyway)

Yes it much better than my current house as this area is full of druggies etc and high crimes.

Yes I already aware of the ongoing built the houses in this area will have openreach fibre to the premises. My house move are subject to credit check put down holding fee £200. If my credit check are passed then I am moving in with new landlord agreement and up front desposit and then monthly payment rent of £635 as this landlord are nuplace in Telford. Been told by landlord not to order FTTP until credit check has passed and agreement signed with deposit and a set of keys then I should be able to order FTTP with isp.

Updated:

:( got bad news as the credit check had turned me down for the new house. (I don't understand why? as I always pay rents and bills on time never late in the last 20 years) feel like robbed ripped off this country with this stupid Credit Check. Getting fed up now! Not very happy at all. Going to get stuck to my shitty area with all bloody druggies and crimes. I want to move out!

Hi Max, I'm sorry to hear that.

Have you ever had any credit cards or loans? If not its quite possible you don't have a credit rating, I don't believe you can get a rating unless you have credit.

You can also check your credit rating free of charge, take a look on Money Saving Expert website, there are guides on there.

Speak to your new landlord, he may take a bigger security deposit or you could offer to pay the rent X months in advance if you can afford to do this. A colleagues father was recently refused a flat because he failed the credit check, he simply offered to pay a year's rent in advance and he's now the happy occupant of the flat.

Hope that helps.

What a bugger, sorry to hear that mate.

As Ronski said, I'd be checking my credit score pronto. (Everyone should be doing this anyway as a matter of course)

My credit score is 484 out of 700. Yes I do have credit card limit £5000 as I always pay off on time. For loans - no I don't have it.
