I understand from some other users that the Windows version of DSLstats can be run on an OSX system using Wine. I'm afraid that it's not going to be possible to make a native OSX version.

Thanks Eric.

Since posting, i have managed to set up my ageing Windows laptop with permanent power and a "do nothing with the lid closed" setting so that it can run with the lid shut.

Had this running for a couple of days but for some reason, each morning i get up to check it, and it's shut down overnight.

Laptop still running but the app has closed itself.

Is there a setting somewhere that needs unticking or ticking?

Thanks
 :)

No, there's nothing in DSLstats that's intended to make it close down overnight. At a guess, it's probably something to do with Windows power saving.

Thanks Eric,

I have turned off all the power save options (i think).

This is running on Windows 10, if that makes any difference?

Hmmm, not running again this morning, however, i did notice that for some reason my laptop had dropped off the wifi, and wasn't set to join automatically.

Will see what happens tonight!!

Does this DSLstats work with G.fast if enabled and active with future G.fast?

What you said about WiFi sounds like the explanation. DSLstats performs more reliably with a wired connection. There's no reason why it shouldn't work with WiFi of course, but it needs to be always on.

Thanks Eric.

I will be plugging into my router at some point but was just using WiFi whilst I played about with it.

Eric I have this in my logs, and since then uploads have never resumed, and I see no way to resume then other than maybe restarting the app.

"Webserver upload failed four times in succession. Uploading disabled"

Is it possible to either disable this behaviour (perhaps via a setting), or maybe make it retry again each hour until it starts working again?

Running RPi 3B (DSLStats V.6.5.9) I get this very occasionaly with "data store" usually when I have been messing about with my modem/router via a Telnet session for too long and don't remember to disable "FTP Uploads/Data Store uploads" first.

Perhaps stating the obvious, but "re-ticking" the "FTP Uploads/Data Store/Upload data to online service" box again resumes the service without any requirement to re-boot the application or halt/restart recording.

Edit:  Typo correction.

I am having an issue running DSLstats under the new Ubuntu 19.04, I had it running OK with 18.04.2 LTS.

But with this latest Ubuntu version the program (v6.5.9) won't open (the executable bit IS set).

Any ideas?
