Indeed. I'd seen the image earlier in the day and it struck me as so apt that he is now free amongst the stars which he has spent so long studying and ie We all come from stardust. I thought it was a lovely tribute.
It was only because I searched to attribute the original artist, that I saw some of those comments and was dismayed that upon his death people had nothing to do but pick fights over a what I saw as an apt piece of art in recognition of a great man.
I didn't for one minute think it was religious or anything to do with Heaven related to God as I knew he was a non-believer. Nor did I see it as being offensive to his disability.
The big man himself used to make jokes about being restricted to his wheel chair.. nor would he get a more up to date text to speech system voice because he knew others saw it being as distinctive to him.
I stopped reading the comments when I got to the one with obscene language who said the artwork implied that people in wheel chairs ought to die.
Some people really have nothing better to do than moan and bitch. I think that's why I don't much like twitter.
