Sorry for dragging up an old thread, but interestingly Openreach have now started building their own FTTP network in Puddington.

I’m scratching my head a bit with Puddington, Burton and Capenhurst anyway. These are proper little villages, with centres that have pavements and whatnot. If B4RN don’t intend to dig up the pavement (they don’t usually do they?) then how exactly do they intend to reach the houses in the village centres?

I live very near the B4RN area, and I am very jealous.

I was wondering though, what if a property requires 10gbps. Is this an option? Pay 10x the price?

What is the data cap? And is there any QoS going on at exchange level?

What puts me off community led stuff like this is that they tend to be "older generations" who could veto allowing traffic more suited to younger generations if it is community led and enforced QoS.

Thanks
