Scandiphone
« on: February 08, 2018, 02:54:18 PM »

I purchased a Scandiphone (Cobra) which has a lead with a RJ11 on each end, so I used a RJ11 to BT adaptor but it does not work, is there an adaptor for this phone that is wired different? if there is, where can I get one/

Sounds like it ought to work.
RJ11 connected phones generally use the centre two connections of the lead so you may wish to check that your adaptor connects those to 2 and 5 on the BT connector (I've never seen one that doesn't, but it's worth checking).
You could also try a different RJ11 lead, from a modem perhaps, to confirm that the lead is ok.

You could also try using a standard, plug-in, microfilter as an adaptor. Just plug the phone into the modem/router socket.

Note that will only work with the very basic "rat's tail", "dangly", microfilter.

Good call B*cat.
Depending on the phone you might hear nasty DSL sounds connecting it like that, but it would prove if it worked or not.
