So I finally got round to building a new PC based on a Kaby lake i5 h270 board.
In doing so I needed to put my old machine on a diet to get rid of old programs etc, as it was using over 120Gb of disk space.
After much cleaning using ms cleaner in admin mode to get rid of old windows 7 backup/updates (15Gb), and CCleaner, I still could not get rid of some installation files sitting on the drive
Enter my new best friend,
http://www.homedev.com.au/free/patchcleaner#tabs-4It found 35Gb
of install files that were no longer relavent to the machine, i.e. installed programs that were tested then uninstalled
and no longer served any purpose other than taking up space.
I could have wiped the disk and started from scatch
To anybody who uses this please be aware this is the
final solution once there gone they really are gone
