Hello all,

Following on to my intro to this board, I decided to buy a VMG1312-B10A from ebay.

It appeared to be connecting to an ISP called 'fastnet' I believe, but I changed the login details and I'm back logged in with my usual ISP.

I decided I would try to update the firmware. My current version is: V1.00(AAJZ.6)C1_20150911

However the 'Update Firmware' option in the maintenance tab doesn't appear to be there. Is there any way of getting around this?

You need the supervisor password, see the unlocking forum to obtain it then you can enable the firmware upgrade menu item for admin login.

Wow, somehow I managed to figure it out following the dumpmdm command. Thanks.

Apart from updating the firmware, is there anything else I should be doing as a first port of call?

Clear ROM-d under configuration menu setting its a tab on its own then you can save your own configuration in rom-d or to a file or both. Make sure TR-069 is disabled.

And ensure that TR-064 is also disabled.
