I'm sure it would be appreciated by others if you share your workings.
Not everyone will be using Ansuel's GUI, or he may not implement everything he receives.

You don't have to share anything of course  :) I'm sure you've used other users fixes, it's nice to be nice

@shdf I just told you that it's the second time you tell me these things and you don't know that I sent my mod to Ansuel few days ago. the administrators of ilpuntotecnicoeadsl banned me without reason, while I was helping and learning, on hwupgrade they told me that I was spamming because I put a link to my site ... you say these things. Maybe my little fixes doesn't interesting nobody
what is the relationship with what I just told you ? do you even understand what i said ?
you come here saying "I FIXED SOMETHING", but you don't SAY WHAT and HOW ! you just say "I FIXED". which is ABSOLUTLY USELESS for everyone here.
in all forums where I see you, you spend your time posting screenshots of your GUI without ever explaining anything to anyone.

added in my ignore list.

@Ivymike,

As far as I am aware,  "The aim of [this forum] is to impart knowledge to the general public ..."

I believe that English may not be your first language, and I appreciate your efforts in communicating in what is probably, to you, a "foreign" language. I am also grateful for the work done by many of the non-UK community in finding devices like the DGA4130/4132 and unlocking their usability for non-techies like myself.

However, I cannot understand your Reply#925 at all, since almost everything is in Italian. I do not know what you have achieved, and even if I could understand Italian you have not helped me know how to achieve the same result myself. I am happy that you have achieved a positive result for yourself, but the way you are reporting your success comes across (at least to me) as gloating rather than helpful, even though that is probably not your intention.

I'm sorry if I sound like a grumpy old man...I probably shouldn't post after driving 350 miles to look at houses!

Time for bed!  :oldman::sleep:

Thank you for your post.

I really appreciate if someone speaks in a civil and respectful manner, in post #907 I had highlighted what I had improved. I'm not a technician like you, I'm annoyed who speaks as shdf because he knows 1000 things more than me and also he sometimes posted .tar file to install without giving explanations of the changes, but he criticize me without knowing how things are in reality. He doesn't know that I have already given my changes to Ansuel, another user who works on the GUI but has not yet decided to put them into my beliefs. This is not my job, it has become a hobby for me for a few months. If shdf knows so much instead of adding me to his list, he could understand or ask if he was interested, as do all those I have helped. This bothers me

If i could to do a .tar archive with my fix, i would post it immediately for all users

It would be nice if we could get back to the subject at hand.  :)

To be honest, I don't even know which tile the traffic monitor is in right now (since I'm running on TIM GUI).

But... I think I'd like to add ...

@shdf ...

Could you tell me exactly which files I need for this? Of course, only if you know this would be very nice (Ansuels GUI is out of the question for me).

@Ivymike ...

What exactly did you fix?

necessary files to install the trafficmon are here : https://repository.ilpuntotecnicoeadsl.com/index.php?dir=Ansuel/AGTEF/modular/&file=traffic_mon.tar.bz2
so download this and install it.

and you have to add this in /etc/contabs/root
Code: [Select]
*/10 * * * * /sbin/trafficmon.lua
*/3 * * * * /sbin/trafficdata.lua

That is already added in the TIM unlocked GUI.

i didn't ever touched trafficmon.lua and trafficdata.lua, i copies every time my files in /www and few in /etc/config

but as long as I cannot create an archive that can be extracted like those of Ansuel or shdf I don't know how else to do. I could give you a .rar that you can extract and then put it with WinSCP

@shdf ...

The file root in /etc/contabs/ is not available.
So I recreate it with your content, which chmod permission has the root file?

And, the device has to be restarted afterwards (I would like to avoid this) or is /etc/init.d/nginx restart enough?

@Ivymike ...

Yes, make changed files available as rar or zip then i can view the code.

But... which bug did you fix exactly?

Let's say i made some adjustment, personalization call it how you prefer.

you can see that i have my card horizontal for full vision, advanced configuration are always showed, changed file mobile.css for fix signal mobile bar in cards, fixed traffic-monitor visualization, mod card broadband to show braodband connection type, and card Internet to show "WAN Sensing L3: L3UpSense", changed timhub icon and icons in "Diagnostic" also changed rc.local to have 80-85Mbps in downloading

chmod 755 is enough for that file.
no need to restart anything...you don't have the trafficmon modals in your gui ?

These three modal (device-modal, hostmap-modal and wifi-nurse-modal) files must also be updated.

This code is missing in my existing modal:

            desc = T"Traffic Monitor",
            target = "modals/traffic-monitor.lp",

And of course I also add the traffic-monitor (missing for me, (TIM GUI)).

For those who are interested, here is the complete package again: https://ufile.io/a7vki

@eclp
maybe you are interested in that trick to only use only 1 cable to access both your router and your DGA4130/DGA4132 in bridge mode.
