Code: [Select]
config pppoerelayd 'config'
        option enable '0'
        option server_intf 'wan'
        option client_intf 'lan'
        option timeout '0'
        option nsessions '32'

It would be nice if you'd keep reporting on everything you find out. I have also tested a little bit, if my ASUS is tagging the VLAN I can't get a connection.

@shdf ..

What actually distinguishes these two "wanptm0" and "ptm0' - and why is the latter better?

 :)

@bilbo
i read somewhere that "#" is not considered as a comment in uci configuration files... better try to remove the code you don't want than using this "#".

@eclp
i don't think one is better than the other, maybe technicolor found useful to create a device "wanptm0" ?

@shdf ok the the 1st one failed because
#   option vid 'x'     :-[

eclp's pppoe-relay file means it is disabled doesn't it, how strange unless it is unrelated to "list pppoerelay 'ptm0'"
Mine appears to need enabled '1' for that network config to work. Unless of course it was a coincidence the router chose that moment to connect which is a possibility.

in my opinion, you can forget about this "pppoe relay" thing, and just disable it, and don't even use it anywhere. a relay would be between the modem and the router...you don't have/use a third device, which is acting as a "relay" ?!
Maybe this is the cause of your PADO/PADI problem...

I had not used this pppoe relay thing before and have always had it set to '0' until yesterday, I was just trying to understand eclp's working bridge config and how it worked.  :)

So, I've got AGTHP_1.1.0_002_CLOSED. rbi plus Ansuel's GUI 4.6.8 running so far. Only DHCP cannot be deactivated via GUI. How can I disable DHCP via WinSCP or putty?

try this from putty:
Code: [Select]
/etc/init.d/dnsmasq stop
/etc/init.d/dnsmasq disable

Or with winscp you can add a : ignore '1' below each config rules
and then do a: /etc/init.d/dnsmasq restart
that way dnsmasq is still runing

@shdf ...
Many, many thanks again to you! Obviously you are a very helpful person and very friendly.
Thank you for your help.

Well, the configuration seems to be working just as well. The sync takes a bit longer, which is of course subjective. The only thing that does not work in the GUI are the settings under "Local Network", because the GUI crashes (perhaps it can be fixed?), but there are also much fewer error messages in the syslog.

@bilbo ...
Unfortunately, I don't understand exactly what you mean?

if you want less Logs you can also disable the firewall on the modem as it doesn't make sense runing it here :
/etc/init.d/firewall stop
/etc/init.d/firewall disable

you can disable igmpproxy logs:
in /etc/config/igmpproxy, set option trace '0'
and do a /etc/init.d/igmpproxy restart for the changes to take effect

or you can also completly disable igmpproxy:
/etc/init.d/igmpproxy stop
/etc/init.d/igmpproxy disable

No, the logs in the Asus (Merlin 384.3 Beta) are completely clean, I don't have such messages. Also no PADO/PADI entries.

 ;D ;D ;D

By swapping the lua-code lines from docroot (Ansuel GUI) I finally managed to conjure up the bridge mode in the TIM GUI.
See for yourself:

Well done!  ;D

Is that functional or cosmetic, can it be used to change modes?

Also, how can we do it?   Is that an older firmware?

 ;D Fully functional!  ;D

I could upload the "www" folder (root) from the firmware AGTHP_1.1.0_002_CLOSED plus Ansuel GUI 4.6.8.

And presumably the additional functions of Ansuel can also be enabled by this.
