I see there are 2 later GUI than 3.9 is it worth upgrading, also is dsl stats working on this modem/router.

I have an issue with my isp monitoring my line so have not changed over to the DGA4130 yet but would like to have it prepared for when they have finished.

@roseway & @Bilbo, what xDSL driver are you using ? the one coming from the Firmware 1.0.4 (which was installed by the Webui 3.x) ?
in my tests the xdsl driver from the Firmware 1.0.3 (which is the same as 1.0.2) give me a better synch (up to 2Mbps better than the 1.0.4 version)

You can test the xdsl driver from my MEGA link, i have also added the old one from Netgear D7000 and the more recent from Asus DSL-AC88U

You just have to stop the driver: /etc/init.d/xdsl stop
overvrite the file : /etc/adsl/adsl_phy.bin
and restart the driver : /etc/init.d/xdsl start

In my case i have the best Sync with the one from Firmware TIM 1.0.3

Yes dslstats is working as long as you enable telnet.
The Gui updates are just fixing some bugs in the gui and doesn't upgrade xdsl driver anymore, plus a few things removed for non italians (it doesn't restart the CWMP agent)

I'm using the 1.0.4 version as installed by Webui 3.x. At the time I changed it, there was no noticeable change in the connection speed. Since that time I've had one resync, caused by a software upgrade of the DSLAM I'm connected to, and since that time my connection has been completely stable for more than 10 days at the maximum speed (79999/20000) with a downstream SNRM of just 1.9 dB.

Because this happened after a DSLAM software upgrade, I can't really compare performance with the older DSL driver, but I do rate the performance as excellent.

you have the maximum, does it mean you are capped @80Mbps by your isp ? what's your distance to the dslam ?

80 / 20 Mbps is the maximum for VDSL2 on BT-based connections. It's not the ISP who limits it. My distance to the DSLAM is about 220 metres.

@shdf

I haven't really paid much attention to which driver I am using.

I have actually noticed a 4mbps variation on the same driver when re-syncing multiple times trying to get the bridge to work within a 2 hour period on the same night.

Last night it synced at 67 down at one stage, then when trying a network config change and resyncing  10 mins later it only managed  63.

So you should be with the 1.0.4 driver...

That's a pity. This looked like a good option, even though the SFP port has no useful function at present.

Well glad I didn't bite yesterday as I was going to purchase this. I'll keep watching for a decent deal on the DGA4130.

They are all based on the fact that version of agtef and agthp are the same... But that's not true as agthp is born with version 17.1 that is patched.

i bought a SIP account @ OVH.fr for 1.19€/month, unlimited calls in 40 countries :

Quote
Germany, Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Cyprus, Colombia, Denmark, Spain, Metropolitan France, United Kingdom, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Kazakhstan, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Mexico, Norway, New Zealand, Panama, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Peru, Russia, Singapore, Slovakia, Switzerland, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, USA, Venezuela.
Maybe there is something similar in UK...

Well, I managed to set up my account in the DGA4130, and I can send / receive calls with a phone plugged into the FXS port  :)

i had to tweak a little the file /etc/config/mmpbxrvsipnet but not sure it was really necessary.
