I had version 7.5, and it kept popping up to tell me that support would cease end May ( and lots of other users getting the same message, according to the several forums).

Seeing that, I was ready to install version 8.0, but then started to read all the tales of woe about this version, and was reluctant to install it, at the same time anxious to have something in place by the end of May.

So, bit the bullet and installed version 8.0

It is working as sweet as a nut, no problems, none of the errors and bugs reported by other users.

Guess I'm just lucky.  :)

I actually have a full version of AVG 8, but now the retrieval issue has been resolved with Avast, I may just be going back to Avast.
