I think the headline says it all "Shock: Internet to Fill Up In Two Years. In Other News, The Sky Will Fall In".
Its pretty well known that the likes of p2p, and video etc are some of the major resource hogs of various points of the internet.
The problem being available backhauls from the exchanges.. and the high cost of BTw Central Pipes. Will it grind to a halt? I doubt it most ISPs impose caps for this reason to ensure that everyone gets their fair share. We could however see more use of things like Ellacoyas for traffic shaping and prioritisation.
