The pointer doesn't behave itself
« on: July 26, 2017, 01:15:33 PM »

Hello,

I have some problems with my wireless mouse or maybe it's something else. The mouse is Logitech. The problem is sometimes the pointer starts moving and kind of trembles. When I turn off the mouse and pull out the receiver it still keeps moving and stops in a minute or so. If I wait for a bit and turn everything back again it works okay, but sometimes it happens again and sometimes it works all right, I can't figure out any pattern for that. Do you have any ideas what I should do?

Have you updated the LogItech software and driver?

What is the model number or name of the mouse? There are issues with one type I use, the Anywhere MX mouse.

What type of surface are you using the mouse on....  Any thing other than a plain sheet of white paper will produce uneven detection of the pointer.
Try this by slowly going over light and dark toned book covers, leaflets etc.
My god son is really hooked on his 'Cool Lamborghini' mouse mat, sadly he's always complaining about his mouse jumping!

I would try deleting and reinstalling the software driver.
