Excellent - as a matter of interest, have you any idea of which area might have been the cause of the Windows x64 instability, that you now appear to have fixed?

The only area I'm aware of is a floating point error with automatic snapshots if average errors are enabled in the snapshot configuration. This isn't yet fixed, and the workaround is not to enable this option.

Which option, specifically?

So, apart from that, my new-found stability on the x64 machine is something of a mystery?

It's in Configuration > Snapshots at the bottom of that screen on the right

Hi roseway

I noticed a problem with traffic monitoring using /proc/net/dev. Until the download counter reaches 10000000 bytes there are one or more spaces in front of the reported value. It seems DSLstats can't handle them and displays "" is an invalid integer.

Examples:
br2:  710986
br2: 3767125

The upload value is not affected.

It would be nice if you could fix this. Many thanks.

I've fixed the issue above.

I've also fixed the floating point error in the Windows version with snapshots of average errors, and added a couple of small things which have been requested. I'm hoping to upload a new pre-release version during the weekend.

Eric this is not specific to the new build but a problem, is cosmetic only as far as I can tell.

Using a zyxel 3924-B10B device, the sync uptime is reported as "AS uptime".  I tried both 1312 and 8924 device type with same result.

I dont see anything actually wrong with all data collected, so this seems purely a cosmetic issue.

I believe AS stands for "Available seconds" as opposed to UAS - "Unavailable seconds". So it makes sense if the reported uptime is in seconds, I don't know if that is the case. These items are shown in the Huawei HG612 command "xdslcmd info --show".

DSLstats uses the value "Since Link time = ..." at the end of the connection stats if it's available, and displays it as "DSL uptime". Some Broadcom firmware versions don't include this value, in which case DSLstats uses the AS (available seconds) figure, and changes the label to indicate this. There's an extra complication in that the "Since Link time" value stops increasing when the uptime reaches a certain maximum value (I forget offhand what it is, but I'll check). When this value is reached, DSLstats switches over to using the AS value, and changes the label.

This may all seem a bit pointless, but some time ago we encountered some modems in which the AS value didn't accurately reflect the uptime, so DSLstats uses "Since Link time" by preference.

[Later] the limit for "Since Link time" is 49 days and a bit (2^32 milliseconds). For simplicity DSLstats switches over when the time exceeds 49 days.

Just a unrelated note my 32GB SD card on RPI used only for DSLstats gave up the ghost after 2 years it was working but newer downloaded stats software kept disappearing and with the card out it won't even format just something to keep a watchful eye on.
