High interleaving depth and high pings once again
« on: June 15, 2017, 02:28:26 AM »

Hi,

I haven't posted anything recently due to exams at university and some personal issues.

My line has been hit by DLM once again at the end of May with Interleaving depth of 1601 for downstream and a delay of 16ms... then I connected unlocked HG612 3B exactly 20 days ago and I'm monitoring the line since then. So far 42 ES with 0 SES. Maximum of 3 ES per day but it's been 20 days already and nothing's happening. I have also banded my sync to 25000 through telnet. I am not enjoying online gaming anymore with this kind of pings.

What could I possibly do to remove the interleaving quicker?

Thanks

No idea what to do now apart from wait or change ISP.  If the max ES on any single day is only 3 and there has been no resync for 20days most people would get back to fast path.

Perhaps remove the rate cap you set, in case the DLM can tell you've been changing things and therefore decides to ignore some of the data.

Ok so I ticked VDSL2 in HG612 3B options and it resynced me at my 'normal' sync around 40000 when interleaved with SnRs of ~6dB.

For some reason the interleave depth dropped to 1241, INP dropped to 6 from 7.5 and delay dropped from 16ms to 15ms. What is going on?

My eci line went interleaved 2 days ago with high values on up and down. Dlm removed it today with no intervention on my part.

The interleaving and INP level changes according to your sync. If you resync at the same speed then INP/interleaving won't change. It's a dynamic setting calculated on the fly at the time of sync.

DLM shouldn't be able to see that you've capped your sync. If you want interleaving to drop off then my advice would be keep the sync capped at a rate that keeps ES below 20 per day.
