If he did a DLM reset there shouldn't be G.INP on the downstream. The default state for a Huawei cabinet after a reset is usually interleaving.

When I had a DLM reset G.inp was removed but came back on a couple of days later on downstream, before that I had G.inp on upstream but only briefly when there was fault on the line. Your speed seems to be much improved now so just see how it goes over the next few days. I don't suppose the engineer offered any explanation for why your speed was hit so hard by DLM just after vectoring was enabled. Thunderstorms are supposed to be treated as wide area events and not cause DLM action, but who knows how BT's systems work!

He had no explanation and also could not understand why his test equipment was showing different readings, he took a lot of  notes and shots of my stats for before and after vectoring  was applied and was going to pass it on to someone in his department,  I will just monitor it now and hopefully it settles down again

Cheers

You could use a modem that doesn't support vectoring

and annoy all those other vectored users as he would then crosstalk onto them ;)

That would imply that vectoring has pretty much doubled the attainable line rate, 31490 to an attainable of 62237  :o

Possibly the DSLAM backed off the power so not to affect other users???

Vectoring can double line rates on high grade copper, never mind whats on BTs network :)

Previous to vectoring on my line I was synced at 43998 which it had been at for a couple of months , I presume it was banded, it certainly lifted the attainable from 56000 to 61000 and some
