VMG8324 resync command
« on: April 04, 2017, 01:59:34 PM »

Quick favour - must be going blind as I cant find it now.

Does anyone recall the telnet command to get the zyxel to resync a new connection.  ie the something --down and something --up.
I dont mean PPP, I want to full resync - without turning the modem off and back on again not using the button, so that it retains history.

Cheers

Hi

Something like <command> connection --down   <xdlscommand> connection --up from memory.

Thanks Phil :)

Found it - its xdslctl connection --down   and xdslctl connection --up

It does lose telnet connection during this but system info is retained.

Hi

As an aside, I've found the VMG8924 to be very reliable as a modem only so far, and current uptime is 121 days, that includes the VDSL connection according to mydslwebstats.  Don't think I've ever had a connection stay up without a resync for that long!  Plus it's an ECI cabinet as well :-)

Regards

Phil
