Does the chipset version change when cabinet gets g.inp?
« on: February 13, 2017, 08:40:24 PM »

I'm awaiting the ECI cabinets to turn G.INP on. Then I'm going to swap out the older modem I have in for this one I setup a while back.

In order to turn on G.INP does the chipversion of the cabinet have to be updated? According to hg612 modem stats the current chipset version is 0xb206

It didn't last time round.
The main problem was with the ECI modem, not so much the DSLAM.
I do think it will probably come with some sort of firmware upgrade, especially if there were issues on the DSLAM side.

G.INP was working on both 0xb204 & 0xb206 I believe.
0xb206 is certainly the most recent ECI DSLAM firmware.

I'll add the other modem soon then. Because I have noticed my SNR is higher than usual but my sync speed is low for me. I was wondering why the DLM isnt kicking in. Maybe thats why.

Just waiting for my main comp to come back from repair and hopefully all will be good, until G.fast  ;D
